Week 2 and 3

Week 2: Tagaytay

Sheila and I spent the second week at Tagaytay. We woke up at around 430am so that we could leave early and avoid traffic. We stopped at Starbucks at Shell SLEX and relaxed for a bit as we enjoyed our Banoffee pie and Zen tea. After 30mins, we made our way for Tagaytay. We arrived at Tagaytay 2 hours after. We first went to Caleruega Church.

At Caleruega, we took a lot of pictures as we enjoyed the scenery. We really enjoyed the view at the top. It’s too bad that there were renovations being done inside the church. We stayed there for about 30 minutes, taking pictures every now and then at different spots.

After Caleruega, we had lunch at Sonya’s Garden. The place was very soothing and relaxing. Different greens and flowers surrounded the place as we walked towards their restaurant. For lunch they serve a set buffet consisting of salad, pasta and dessert. It was quite sumptuous! We were so full!

After lunch, we went to our hotel. We picked The Boutique Bed and Breakfast as recommended by a couple of friends. We stayed at the I Lust room. In every way, it really exceeded both our expectations. The room was the best we’ve had so far. It was worth the price. And the view was perfect. The I Lust room was their presidential suite. The Bed was oh so relaxing, soft and comforting! :) Anyway, I will post pictures at flickr. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. The breakfast in bed was great! They serve either Filipino, American, Continental or Hawaiian. The BB&B also have a restaurant, Hawaiian BBQ. They serve one of the best BBQs we have ever tasted.

During our stay in Tagaytay, we also went to Bag O’ Beans and Josephines :)

Week 3: Bohol

Last Tuesday, we left for Bohol at around 8am. We stayed at the Flushing Meadows in Panglao Island. The resort took our breaths away. We were choosing between Bohol Beach Club and Flushing Meadows, but my travel agent friend suggested the latter and it met our expectations. The resort is new and it’s design was really very appealing especially for honeymooners :) We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights at the McEnroe Suites.

During our first day, we just enjoyed the resort taking pictures in every corner. We had lunch at their restaurant, Aces and Champions. We also spent much time at their infinity pool. The water was warm, the sky blue and clear and just the two of us in the pool as we enjoyed the view of the Mindanao Sea.

On our second day, we had our Country Side Tour. We went to various places including the Blood Compact Site, Baclayon Church, Tarsiers, Chocolate Hills, Loboc River Cruise, Hanging Bridge. Our very courteous driver and tour guide, Bert who looks very much like “Teabag” of Prison Break really made our tour better. He kept on talking to us as we traveled around the Bohol. We also met Piping aka “Buko King” while we were at the Hanging Bridge. He performs there for tourists. For lunch, we had it during the Loboc River Cruise. It was very relaxing and the food was great as well. We enjoyed the Chocolate Hills the most as we climbed 214 steps towards the view deck. The view at the top was great! We were actually seeing the hills that we only saw at textbooks or at the Nayong Pilipino. The hills were green though since it’s the rainy season. It’s usually brown during summer according to Bert.

On our third and fourth day, we spent the day just at the resort relaxing by the beach or in our room :)

Next on our list is Palawan and Cebu. :D
