Congratulations to Team Philippines for winning the World Cup: Philippine vs Mexico, 5 – 1. Only “Boom Boom” Bautista lost in a shocking 1st round KO vs Ponce de Leon. Mabuhay and Pilipinas! I hope they continue to pound their way in the world stage.

Also, I watched earlier in “Umagang Kay Ganda” that a resolution is being passed by Congresswoman Darlene Custodio regarding a pension plan for retired boxers who won a World championship. If this will be agreed upon by Congress, our boxers would get 15K a month. This is good news especially since there are dozens of boxers who are in desperate need of financial help. According to Custodio, they have already around 20 in their list.

Bagyong Egay

After Chedeng and Dodong, here comes another storm in the last couple of weeks. This is good to fill up our dams but quite difficult for those who are affected due to severe flooding, landslides, etc.
