An Appeal in Behalf of Ms. Aileen Tiu

Hello everyone. I received this email
from batch 98 yahoogroups. Please pass
this forward to the other batches. I
posted this here so that others who
might have not received the email yet
may know about this.

Dear Alumnus,

Mrs. Aileen Tiu is the Math coordinator
of Marist. She approached the
association to seek financial help from
alumni. Mrs. Tiu has breast cancer and
is undergoing chemotherapy.

Mrs. Tiu started teaching in Marist in
1988. For eighteen years, she taught
Math to Grade Six students. That means
members of Batch ‘92 onwards would know
her. The school recognized her
competency and passion in teaching Math.
That is why she is now the coordinator
for Math for the entire school.

For the older batches, Mrs. Tiu is the
daughter of band master Mr. Guerrero.
Members of batch ‘79 composed the first
“marching” band of the school. I
remember Mr. Guerrero also had a
rondalla group. Mr. Guerrero is now 87
years and still healthy according to
Mrs. Tiu.

We all know a teacher’s salary is not
enough to cover expenses. Please help a
